I have bipolar mixed and have been taking Paxil up to 30mgs now. Recently my doc gave me Adipex-P 37.5mg to help with weightloss. (I was on steroids for an illness previously and gained weight). Anyway, I have been on the Adipex-P for about a week and the results are amazing. I sleep better at night bed at 11pm up at 8am usually 3am until 11am and back to bed at 2pm. Things were great until last night. I got the worlds worst dizzy spell, nausea, and cold sweats. I had to take a compazine and go to bed. What do you think caused this? I really like the combination of paxil and stimulant. I haven't felt this normal in a long time. But what happened last night scared me to death.
Any ideas on what caused it?
Thanks,
Ruthie

I also have bipolar. My Doctor also has put me on Celexa and Adipex. The first time I mixed them together, I also got sweaty, sick and was breathing hard.I at first thought it was , because I was at the track , walking and thought I might have gotten to hot.I know , I got sick. My sister and daughter have mixed them and don,t seem to have any problems with mixing them. Please if anyone knows , if this is dangerous, let me know. I have not mixed them since. I have stop taking my celexa.I need to lose some weight, and the weight problem is a big depession factor, to me.I have recently lost a grandaughter in a horrible wreck and I am afraid to go without my celexa, for very long.I have suffered, from Bipolar all my life.I know, I have to be on medications for that. I hope that , I can mix the two drugs together, without a problem.
With my Doctor giving them , both to me, it should,nt be a problem. But we all know, how some Doctors look at mental Illness.I hate to fill out a form, that asks if you suffer from Mental Illness. To me that just Lables you. ( Crazy) If not why do they ask. Its like they think if you have mental Illness, every pain is just in your head.Thank You for any imformation you have for me. Beverly
