Hello everyone, I wanted to let you know, the flashbacks occurred before the medication. (childhood abuse) of sometype.

The 250mg zoloft and the neurotin, i really don't know if they are helping or not. The only relieve i get is from the klonopin and zyprexa. Sometimes during the day i start having bouts of extreme anger, sometimes sadness, and feel very empty inside. When this happens i am on the meds.

I am going to see pdoc. tomorrow..very afraid..do not know why...as feeling like a time-bomb going off..the meds. to help alot.

Please help me...
Rose

Yikes. So sorry to hear how rough things are for you right now. I extend my best wishes. I know it doesn't help enough, but all I can say is "been there, done that, and likely will again". Just try to remind yourself it doesn't last. Nothing ever does. Good or bad. There is a better day out there for you. Hang in there. Others of us know exactly how you feel. Sorry you have to deal with it. Wish there was some magic right this moment.

As for the drugs, it's hard to know what's going on when we have more than two drugs. It could be what you are feeling is being caused by one of the drugs, or caused by some drug-drug interaction between them. It might be an idea to remove the ones you aren't sure are doing anything, and focus on the ones that are helping. Then, once things have been whittled down to two drugs, we can experiment with trying other drugs as needed. But one at a time.

In an ideal situation your doctor could let you try each of the mood stabilizers at a low dose (no testing needed) for just a week each with a short (maybe one day) wash out in between. Maybe the same with the stimulant class drugs. Maybe the same with the SSRIs (try Paxil first, Prozac a week later). Obviously these drugs take longer than a week to work. But hopefully in quick trials you will accidentally pleasantly stumble onto one that works nicely, quickly, with few side effects. The best drug for you will fit that description, but only trial and error will identify what drug it is. And it might be one you least suspect. Short sample trials of them all would likely point you in a good direction to focus on more.

I'm like you. I get into three, four, or five drugs. Then when I feel bad, I don't know why. Trying to be a detective with all the drugs is impossible. Sometimes I find it best to get back to basics so I can tell what's doing what. Hoping your doc will offer some good help. Will be thinkin of ya. Let us know how the doc visit goes. JohnL
