saintjames: how about the stress echo?

Posted by Victoria on April 3, 2000, at 22:24:53

Just read some posts from the past few weeks and saw the thread about your having trouble going through with your stress echo test. Did you do it (or at least schedule it)? If not, consider this another kick! I've been reading this site on and off for the past two years, and I've always been very impressed with the contribution you make both to the knowledge base here and to the site's good sense and good feeling. So we need you, even if you won't do the test for your own sake. Keep us posted. Good luck!

James here....

It is scheduled for the end of may. I went thru a scare last week when I had my insurance canceled, my parents pay the $400 a month bill and must of forgotten a month. I tap danced for the HMO and after a scarry weekend they said OK, we will reinstate. I guess they did not review my account and see how many Rx'es I fill ! i hope to get the walking program going soon so I will not make a fool of myself on the treadmill. Thanks for asking !

Good for you! It seems to me HMO's definitely work on the "squeaky-wheel" principle, and if you want anything done, you have to squeak loudly and continuously. But they often give in if you do. Keep us posted on how the stress test, walking, etc. are going!
