Twitchy legs

To All-

I have been on Zoloft, 50mg/bid, and 20mg/bid Metadate for two to three months now. I have ADD and Depression. My calf muscles in my legs have been twitching alot, all day long they twitch. It isn't painful, it's kind of ticklish. Then today I noticed that the muscles in my feet and around my shin bones are twitching too. I notice that my face muscles are tight also but they don't twitch. I also have an eyelid twitch in my left eye which usually only twitches when I'm stressed, but it hasn't twitched until today. My question is this; Is muscle twitching a side effect from either of these two medications?

I have had leg twitches for a long time, but then I've taken Prozac for two and a half years before finally getting on the Zoloft. And I know Ritalin can bring out tics. But the twitches seems to be more noticeable lately.

Also, it was pointed out in an earlier thread that serotonin boosting meds lower dopamine levels. So then, what is going on when you use a stimulant like Ritalin with an SSRI? Is the Ritalin's performance inhibited by the SSRI?

Look back about 2 archives ago, there was an excellent discussion about twitches related to AD meds. I didn't realize that my eye twitches were caused by Prozac until I read the posts.

Thanks Sandi, I'll look back at the archives. How did you find out about your eye twitch?
