I have been taking Effexor XR for about 3 weeks. I started out with the 37.5 mg dose/daily and am now taking 75 mg/daily. For the past 3 or 4 days, I have been experiencing shortness of breath and a feeling of anxiety or panic. I was wondering if anyone else has had these symptoms. My next doctor's appointment is in about 2 weeks, and I wanted to be prepared to tell her about my symptoms. Any advice anyone can share with me would be appreciated. I took Prozac for depression for about 3 years, but gained a lot of weight, so at my request, the doctor switched my medication. Should I give the medicine more time? Will these feelings go away when I have taken the medication for a longer period of time? Please advise!!! Thanks! Julie
