I have been taking 60mg - 80mg of Prozac for over 7 years. This am my pdoc stopped the Prozac cold turkey and wants me to start effexor on Friday. I am to start wuith 37.5mg for a week then 75mg for a week then 150mg for another week ... on and on. I think she wants to get me to 300mg twice per day. I am also taking 450mg of Wellbutrin and now 200mg Seroquel daily.
I am concerned about stopping the Prozac so quickly. I tried this earlier to switch to Celexa and had terrible results. I guess I am asking if anyone been through this migration and can tell me what to expect. When does the Effexor kick in? I'm pretty scared right now.
