Does anyone have any experience with this combo and
might you share this with me? It has been suggested
by my pdoc and I would like to hear some experiences.
Have clinical depression, thus far nothing has helped. Have
taken Wellbutrin, but still had crying spells...so it
was not great by itself and we're investigating augmentation.
Many thanks

Wellbutrin/High-Dose Effexor is mentioned in the famous Dr. Stahl's Essential Psychopharmacology textbooks as being a "heroic combo," boosting serotonin once, norepinephrine twice, and also dopamine twice (but weaker). Thus, that type of combo maximizes chances of relief from depression. Also, the Wellbutrin may combat the sexual and sedation side-effects of the Effexor.
