Does anyone know about the specifics* of any potential toxic* biological interactions of mixing Ritalin and Deprenyl? Has anyone ever tried this combination or been prescribed it?
I am curious about using a small amount of Deprenyl (say 1mg per day) with a properly adjusted* amount of Ritalin SR, (or a larger amount of Deprenyl and a smaller amount of Ritalin SR). I am currently taking 20mg of Ritalin SR twice a day for adult ADD. The reason I am curiuos is because I am hoping for the synergistic combined benefits of both Deprenyl and Ritalin on a cognitive* level, as well as to even, smooth out, lengthen, and potentiate the Ritalin response (with smaller adjusted Ritalin dosing of course).
I have read about the risk of hypertensive crisis when combining an mao inhibitor with an amphetamine, but from what I have tentatively gathered so far, they can be used together if one proceeds with caution.
I look forward to hearing others recommendations, experiences, suggestions, dosing regiments/timing*, references, etc.
Thank you,
StephanPS: Perhaps combining the Ritalin with Modafinil will give me some more of the cognitive benefits (adrenergic, vs. dopenergic) I am looking for in combining the Deprenyl with Ritalin. Anyone have a prescription in the US for Modafinil for ADD?
This is the end of the thread.
