I have an 11yr old daughter who has been on Concerta and Effexor for almost a yr now and Ritalin and Adderall before that. She is comming off of both of them and man is she a terror. I do not know which med gives the hardest withdrawl. She will begin back of the Effexor in the next day or two. Any feedback of Concerta withdrawl would be helpful. She is not sleeping well, she whines continuously, she doesn't seem to realize she is doing things like lying I just don't know where one ends and the other begins. Please help.

Mamataylor-
I think the Effexor wins, hands down, in the withdrawal effects department. It is really difficult to get off Effexor. Check out prior posts on this board. I take Concerta and when I've missed some days, I didn't feel any particular withdrawal. Concerta is methylphenadate (ritalin) and is in and out of the system in 10 to 12 hours.Sara T
