Can somebody tell me more about Lamictal and it's benefits. I have Panic/axnxiety disorder... and mild depression. I do not handle medications well at all. I cannot take SSRI's because of the horrible side effects. Does Lamictal have a bad side effect profile?

Its an anti-convulsant and mood stabilizer that also has anti-depressant qualities. Generally, it had a good side-effect profile, but you have to start at a low dose and move up slowly because the one particularly pesky though rare side effect is a skin rash that can be extremely serious.
