Took my BP this morning: 117/64
Took Parnate
Now, 30 minutes after Parnate: 147//63But no headache, just feels like my heart is pounding hard.
Should I be worried?

Nope. Relax and check BP again in a couple of hours. Mine used to get a lot higher than that (say, 180/100), but it'd come down within a couple of hours or so.

Does it get that high from Parnate alone, or is it b/c I ate something wrong?

Could easily be anxiety.

My blood pressure also used to get higher than that from Parnate. It would always come down after awhile. The pounding heart could easily be from worrying about it.

I'm still a bit concerned about my BP. Over the course of the day, it's gone from a high of about 150/60 to a low of 90/50. Also, when BP is high, my pulse is very low (37 beats/minute) and when BP is low, pulse is high (100 beats/minute).
Been on Parnate about 11 days nows and I'm up to 40mg/day. I hope this is just a problem in the beginning, b/c it can't be healthy in the long-term to have a BP that's all over the place like mine has been.

I hope this is just a problem in the beginning, b/c it can't be healthy in the long-term to have a BP that's all over the place like mine has been. When I started Parnate in March, I was up to 40 mg. by the end of the first week. My BP ranged each day from a normal reading of perhaps 140/80 to a low of 90/57. I don't know what my pulse was then, but it has always been in the 90s no matter what. I was told by 2 or 3 different doctors not to worry about the low blood pressure. And sure enough, this cleared up after a few weeks so I'm consistently in the normal range of about 120/80.
My concern is your pulse rate of 37. That's pretty low. I would definitely relay all these stats to your pdoc and see what he/she says.
