Or deprenyl, or whatever it's called. The "other" MAOI. We're starting it next week, after we're at lower doses of Wellbutrin. Will eventually tirate completely off the Wellbutrin, and tirate quickly UP on the Selegiline.
I'd love to hear any other experiences, good or bad, with this med. This is my last ditch effort before going back on Nardil (which was fine except for side effects).
I'll also keep sort of a weekly log if anyone's interested.

I am very interested in this drug. I am also on Wellbutrin, the only AD which has worked well for me, but its wearing off.
How much are you going to take? Do you have to do the diet? Did the wellbutrin not work?
I would love to hear how you are doing on it

I'm starting low, 5mg, but for true antidepressant effect (I'm told) we have to raise it. I think he said 20mg, maybe even higher. Wellbutrin up to 300 mg didn't work, but flattened me like SSRIs. Higher dose of Wellb. may work better but the side effects are too severe to continue putting up with so, since I know an MAOI has worked in the past, here I go again. But with one that isn't supposed to cause the weight gain of Nardil. thx
(wellb side effects: the sweats, constant rash and flush, and more!!)
