I took Strattera for 4 weeks using samples from my doc. I forgot to call him when I ran out, then did call, then missed his call back, etc. Anyway, 3 days without it I was in full blown anxiety meltdown/hyperventilating, shaking, sweating, fatigue. I haven't had a day like that in about 3 years. I can't seem to find any reference to withdrawal problems from Strattera, but a friend of mine said that she does that same thing, even becoming violent if she misses more than 1 dose. Has anyone else had a problem like this?

I don't know about Strattera, but I did have similar problems with Effexor, which also has a norepinephrine-reuptake inhibition component. If I forgot to take it for a few days, I would get lightening shocks in my scalp and get really hateful and cranky.
Needless to say, I had a lot of trouble stopping it. I weaned my self down to 1/2 of a 37.5 capsule (actually poured half the little beads down the drain) and still had some withdraw symptoms.
This is the end of the thread.
