Thank you for your attention.
I am a 62 yr old male who is taking 300 mg of Effexor XR at am, 2mg of Lorazepan, 50 mg of Trazedone at pm.
My doc checked my testosterone levels and it came back very low. He sugested me to start in a hormonal therapy. he thinks that it will be ok to mix it with the above meds. my spychitrist is in vacation. I would like to know if anyone has been in Effexor and testosterone theraphy and if it works and what was the experience.
Effexor was working for me after 4 weeks at 275mg but 3 days ago the depression, anxiety, dizzines are back.
I will apreciate your comments.
Best wishes to all,
JFM

My psychiatrist along with a urologist and an endocrinologist (and indeed an NIMH researcher I've been consulting) all supported my using AndroGel along with the several antidepressants and mood stabilizers I am on. No problems with interactions. Unfortunately, the AndroGel did not sufficiently raise my testosterone level and so now I've switched to injections. Hopefully they will do better.
