Seroquel Withdrawal--HELP!

Posted by Mimi on February 23, 2004, at 6:29:35

Hi all,

I've been on low dose atypical antipsychotics for six years. Tapered to 25mg/day of Seroquel one month ago. Last night I quit it because I'm OVER being sedated all the time. Been awake and up since 2:00a.m. How long before I can expect normal sleep patterns? Anyone out there been through this? Maybe with Risperdal or Zyprexa?

Mimi

Don't punish yourself...raise the dose again, and go slower titrating down or use a benzo for sleep...

No worries...I also should have mentioned, please don't feel guilty if you need to take benzos or titrate up again...Just take it at your own bodies time and be gentle with yourself...

Whatever you do, PLEASE DON'T SUFFER when their is great sleep meds out there...

Ace
