Multiple mood stabilizers-negative synergy?

Posted by jaby on March 15, 2004, at 9:32:54

Does anyone here think that taking multiple mood stabilzers might have a negative synergistic efect to some extent (too much overlap in action). I specifically take lamictal, neurontin and lithium and have thought about this a little. I'd be curious to hear others' thoughts.
Thanks,
Jeff

Lamictal, Neurontin, and lithium are all different from each other. There is really no overlap in their pharmocology. It should make for a good combination for bipolar disorder.
