I've heard some say that the inactive ingredient Kaolin has affected the absorption of Nardil. Does anyone have an answer to this? If so, where can it be found?

As far as I know, kaolin is a type of clay...it is always the top ingredient listed in various cosmetic facial masks & body "mud" treatments. It is actually in the Nardil, huh? I suppose they are using it to bind the ingredients of the pill together...I wouldn't think they'd use it if it affected absorbtion into the body. However, on the free-thinking side, I suppose the thick, gummy properties of kaolin could somehow block or clog absorbtion. Don't know. I hope someone else does!! Good luck!

I would like to know, personally. The person to talk to would be a smart pharmacist who does compounding. If you have a pharmacy school in your area, a faculty member could probably help you. They study binding agents quite a bit, and would probably know how to find out exactly what "inactive" ingredients changed from the old to new Nardil.
