effexor xr users...question?

Posted by Rainee on May 29, 2004, at 11:15:09

I have only used ssri's in the past . I'm on week 4 of effexor xr at 187.5 titrated up from 75 mg.
I'm still not feeling all that well the doc wants me up too 225. Is effexor slower acting? I feel a little relief but still want to just sit around the house and my anxiety is still to high.
anyone relate?

Thanks
Rainee

When I started on effexor xr I felt the benefits within 4 days. Had really miserable side effects for a long tim, but it works well for me.

Hi Rainee,

All I want to do is sit around the house too, so Effexor isn't perfect for me. It did give me fairly instant depression relief at 75mg, so I continued on with it. 300mg is motivating, but 225mg is the most I can handle.

Cheers,
Panda.
