Hello, I've been reading a lot about Effexor withdrawl symptoms and I'm experiencing them right now. Most posts are from a few years ago so I was just wondering how long it took some of these people to stop feeling so sick after they were done taking effexor. Today's my first day of not taking the drug after being on Effexor for a year and a half. And I just feel so sick today, with the same symtoms that everyone else seems to have. So I was just wondering if these symptoms get better or do I have to go back on effexor to feel better? Hope someone can help. Thanks.

Yes it does get better.
Give it a month...and if you can take 10mg of Pozac for a few weeks, it seems to help alot of people. It will get better! Hang in...

Thanks for the info! I was just at my doctors and he didn't mention Prozac, but someone in my family's on prozac and they said I should just take some of theirs. So you say 10mg? Maybe I'll ask the doctor about it. I'm willing to try anything!
