Reflux/Heartburn caused by Xanax???

Since I have been on 2mg Xanax daily each night just about I have really bad heartburn and reflux symptoms

anyone had this

i might have to change to 20mg Valium a day

im getting an upper abdominal ultra sound tommorrow....

Hi Ace,

Remeron sometimes gives me some heartburn, I think it is listed as a possible side effect. I find Valium depressing.

I haven't experienced this with Xanax, but have had that problem with a couple of other meds (especially Prozac). One thing that I noticed is that it seemed to be associated with drinking coffee, and once I kept the two separate by an hour or two the heartburn disappeared.

I don't know if you drink coffee at night, but you might look at other possible food/drink interactions. Just a thought -- good luck!
