I am stopping Lamictal and will be using Seroquel as a montherapy for BPII. I was on 300mg and have been decreasing Lamictal by 50mg every week. I am down to 125mg this week. Anyone experience withdrawal symptoms, either physical or mental?

Just reduce very slowly. Lamictal is almost like an AD in that respect, if you reduce too fast you may get a real nasty rebound depression (which is what happened to me) I was on 150 then went to 125 for a week then to 100 but I had to stay at 75 for a while (like two weeks) because I needed enough time to adjust. Eventually I was off of it but I also did experience some electrical shocks sensations in my head when I was decreasing (also like the AD's)

Thanks sac. I don't feel too much withdrawal right now other than occasional irritation. Of course I quit smoking two weeks ago so that could be part of it.
I hadn't thought about staying at a dose for longer than one to two weeks if the symptoms become too uncomfortable. That is very helpful to know. I will watch closely for depression as well.
I had the "brain zaps" coming off Zoloft a few years ago so I know those will pass in time.
This is the end of the thread.
