Hey guys,
I am wondering how you know (or what you feel) when it might be time to increase your dosage of Lex.
I have been on 10mg for about 2 1/2 months and lately I have been able to tell that the anxiousness/worrying is creeping back up. I wonder if that means I should increase to 15mg. I just don't want to worry about weight gain.
Anyway - just a question. Thanks!

Hey There :),
From what I have heard and experienced ( as a former Lexapro user), you usually can feel when you need to increase your dosage, because you feel your anxiety or depression creeping back.
If I were you, I would see your doctor and ask him/her about increasing to 15. The only way to see if you will gain weight on meds is by "trial and error." It seems like you have not gained weight thus far...perhaps Lexapro works well with your system.
If you do find yourself gainging weight in the future, talk to your doctor about Effexor or Wellburtin. I am on Effexor XR and have LOST weight.....

I will give myself a few more days and see if I should increase. I have not had weight issues so far, and I am about to have my period (which i know creates bad lex days) so I will give it some time.
I am training for a half marathon and I teach a class at my gym - so I am really weight conscience!
Thanks for your feedback - I figured it might be time for an increase!

I have increased a couple times. I have been on 30 mg for the past 7 months or so. I have never experienced weight gain from it.
