I have recently , the past couple years found myself very very sensitive to issues dealing with emotion...rejection from a girl will cause a deep depression for much longer than it normally should....If some random drunk insults me, I'm hurt way too easily, and this affects the rest of my night greatly , with my mood plummeting. My pdoc is trying me on 1mg of Risperdal to try and even things out....Anybody had this experience, tried this drug for this? results? Thanks again

I was on Risperdal for a while for "rumination". It didn't do squat for that, but it seemed to make me less irritable. I replaced it with Zyprexa for my anxiety, and I am *much* calmer. I wish I could find an AD that works this well.
I think you just have to try the experiment. One of the things I've learned from this board is that people have wildly opposite experiences on meds.
