I get a bad taste in my mouth as a side effect of Celexa, including a kinda metallic taste from water. But I also seem to have bad breath too (according to my husband :) !). This is despite having dental cleanings 3x per year, and brushing/flossing & mouthwashing 3x per day!
Anyone experience this phenomenum with Celexa or other SSRI's?????
Thanks
Jas

you're taking any of these drugs. I also have good dental hygiene and it doesn't seem to help with this common side effect. Keep a pack of sugarless mints or gum on hand at all times!

I just started using "biotene" toothpaste which is marketed for dry mouth. I think it helps a little. My pdoc says that a number of her patients have had good results with it.

f it's really affecting your plague levels, Evoxac is always an option. It produces saliva in your mouth. But be careful- it can affect your heart rythm, so if you have heart problems stay off it.
I use Evoxac, floss, use a Sonicare toothbrush, Biotene toothpaste, Biotene mouthwash, and nighttime Floride rinse (Phosphur brand).
