Remeron and a low dose of an SSRI work very well together, even when either one fails alone.

Have you given it enough time to kick in? For some it takes a little longer.
You might want to try adding fish oil. I found this out after feeling so good I stopped taking the remeron and it didn't work as well the second time around. If someone would've told me a year ago I'd be taking fish oil to supplement my AD, I'd have laughed in their face. But, it works!
