Anyone has this side effect on Nardil?

Posted by Tepiaca on April 17, 2005, at 22:50:44

Hello
I´ve been taking Nardil for almost 2 years. Most of the time I have been on 45 mg. I am now on 60mg, aiming to 90. I also take Seroquel 25mg at nigth.

I have had this rare side effect. I feel extremly tired and week. I can´t walk without getting exhaust. I remember I had this side effect the last time I was on 60, but I was only when I run or do excercise. But now it is all the time. Im gonna have a bloodtest tomorrow better, I dont like this.
Even now , sitting at the computer , I feel I have no strength. It is difficult to breath, like if I were run one mile.

Have you guys on Nardil felt this anytime ??????

It could be the new nardil has stopped working
check out the web site:

We are all having problems with this new nardil.
It doesn't work like the original if it works at all.

I had it on Parnate. It was a fatigue. It was like "if I don't lie down now I am going to fall over". That is when I started taking the Adderall to combat it.

Does it hit you at a particular time of day?
Are you eating a lot of carbs because of the Nardil?

Take care.

I am getting confused. Nardil is supposed to help atypicals, where the major symptoms are letargy, leaden paralysis, lack of concentration. I am getting tired on Parnate too, but late in the evening and I think this is related to amphetamine
metabolites decomposition. I had similar feeling on Concerta late in the day.

I get this while on Nardil when I also have peripheral edema. Also, I've noticed that when I am fall over on the floor fatigued, if I take my blood sugar (I'm not diabetic, but I can go hypoglycemic at times) my blood sugar is actually a bit high--in the 140's. This is high for me. I wonder at times, with the weight gain, if I'm headed towards metabolic syndrome.

It's contraindicated but perfectly safe if you know your body. My pdoc had no problem prescribing it and there have articles about adding a stimulant to parnate with great success.

No, it caused me daytime fatigue

How about a cup of strong coffee when you wake up?

Because eating too many carbs can make you tired and Nardil does cause people to crave and eat carbs. So I was just wondering if your problem was related to your diet.

Yes, Parnate fatigue hits in the afternoon. I think SLS or Ed explained why but I don't remember because my concentration is shot.
