Have any of you had success in treating depression with Lamictal? If so, what side effects have you experienced? I have seen comments about a rash. What kind of rash would that be? Where does the rash appear? On the face, arms or legs where it's noticeable? Does it itch? Any other noticeable side effects, such as weight gain? Sexual dysfunction? Thanks for your responses.

Lamictal has changed my life, it is the only medication that has worked solely for my depression. I have OCD as well and augment the Lamictal with Zoloft, Buspar etc.. but none of it would work were it not for Lamictal. Had to go up very slowly for that rash that never came. No side effects, a little irritable at first but soon passed. I love lamictal!

I take lamictal as well. I never got the rash, (you would know if you got it) its like a red rash that can appear anywhere, seems like mostly on upper chest area. But if you go up slowly, you shouldnt get it. I take that along with another mood stabelizer and prozac....
