After all failed antidepressants, and being stuck horribly for 3 years, a new pdoc says im bpII, and gives me lamictal. Got to 100mg for a week, then had the greatest week in years.
All depression was lifted. Finally reached the light. And then it all went away. I hear this is typical.
Are we supposed to tirate up til we get back to that?
I no longer see that pdoc (moved, no health insurance), but have enough samples to last me a life time.
Any advice?Any advice on the bruatal insomnia i get from it?
Regards,
Brian

Dear Brian,
This has happened to me on several occassions. I feel great for about one week once starting lamictal. I am more social, confident, energetic .... I feel like a *regular* person. But this fades eventually, and my mood goes back to baseline. I wish I could get lamictal to work consistantly!

PS I have actually use lamictal intermitently with some effect. I would take lamictal for 4 days, then take a 4 day "holiday". This would give me 4 great days, then 4 okay days.
This is the end of the thread.
