fluoxetine versus citalopram

Posted by sdb on October 14, 2005, at 6:50:45

In my country citalopram is indicated against depression, gad, ocd and panic.

fluoxetine only for depression.

I personally dont know but I suppose that the indications for citalopram could also be indications for fluoxetine. Perhaps lundbeck sponsored studies and exert more pressure for admission in our country.

According to many persons fluoxetine cause less drowsiness (not always yawning).

Hi S,

In the UK, fluoxetine is indicated for depression, OCD and bulimia nervosa. Citalopram is indicated for depression and panic disorder.
