Hi Everyone. One more question about Seroquel.... I've been reading past posts that Seroquel does increase appetite. I've been wondering a little about this as well--I've noticed some increased appetite, especially maybe in the mornings..... Thank you for your help! Lucia

The one thing I have noticed, though, is that if I eat big meals, I am real, real tired, and often fall asleep. If I eat light, I am OK.

atypicals in general seem to have some effect on increasing appetite (although the weight gain can also be due to other, as yet unexplained factors). If its a big problem, you could try adding metformin (glucophage, glucophage xr)--that should also help stabilize blood sugar, which is always a good thing. Apparently some nutritionists are good at setting up diets to minimize problems with the atypicals; you may want to consider dropping in and chatting with a nutritionist to see if they can offer you some assistance. Good luck!
