Hi,
i've been thinking of going on nardil, since the ritalin is working so well but the downside is that it keeps me way to stressed out!
So, i need my dopamine, but not with ritaline... MAOI?!?

No, Nardil must *never* be combined with an MAOI. Very serious toxicity may result.

You could try EMSAM or oral selegiline, which is highly dopaminergic. I've heard of some people combining Nardil with stims such as Ritalin but you'll be hard pressed to find a pdoc willing to do this for you. Your doctor does seem to be a bit of an oddball though with that dothiepin, paroxetine, Ritalin combo you were on not so long ago.
No, don't even try to combine paroxetine with an MAOI. You will die after a very short while, trust me.

I'm just browsing for the alternatives, but I'm also pretty happy with the way things are now you know, so if you tell me that i will probably die when adding it to my medication list, then that's obviously not an option...(for the record: it's dothiepin, paroxetine, ritalin, sulpiride (wich i'm thinking of dropping) and 10mg valium)

Do *NOT* take an SSRI with an MAOI. It theoretically can be done, but only in an in-patient setting with very experienced clinicians and extremely conservative dose titration. Even then the side effects usually outweigh the benefits.
The dose of SSRI you have access to will not be small enough to do this safely. Also, the way MAOIs work, there is usually a "threshold" before which nothing goes wrong and after which all hell can break loose. I strongly urge you not to pursue this route.
Insofar as your agitation is concerned, methylphendiate is a crappy stimulant. Try d-amphetamine instead; your nerves will thank you.
This is the end of the thread.
