Hi, I'm new here and just recently starting using lithium for bipolar disorder. I am also taking effexor and I'm wondering if anyone has taken lithium before and if they had good results? I have been on it for 5 days and I feel worse then I did before I was on it. Sooo tired!! And extremly moody.I did call my dr. but he didnt call me back.. go figure. I have small children and feel that I cant deal with side effects that make a less functioning person. thanks for any advice you guys can give me

I'm not sure about the Effexor mix; but
it does make you very tired and takes some
months to get used to that; alternatively
it could be the dose-- hope your doctor
can monitor that upon your report.Squiggles

in my experience lithium was all side effects at first, then gradually it began to work in an amazing way and many of the side effects went away or became less pronounced.
