I am wondering if I will have to add a mood stabilzer to Effexor. It's only been a week and I do feel better, but not totally better. I still could use some energy without agitation. Not sure if adding a mood stabilizer would help with that or not.
Or, I wonder if going up on the doseage would help. Not sure.

I'm taking lamictal 100mg with effexor 150mg. I also take remeron 30mg. I find that most A/D's make my brain feel like a sponge, saturated in serotonin/noradrenaline. When I add Remeron, it seems to give the "sponge" a squeeze, which greatly improves the effect of the other A/D. Remeron on it's own is not a great A/D, but, it works wonders as an augmenting agent...IMHO.

The fact that you feel a little better is a good sign. Your doctor will probably increase your dosage when you see him/her. You can discuss a mood with your doctor at that time.
