who was Mark H [a poster]

Posted by rjlockhart37 on May 20, 2014, at 20:05:14

i was looking through my old posts i was fighting with maxime 9 years ago, this guy labeled me as some sick poster.....really makes me mad.....

does anyone rerember who he was? i've grown since i was 18 during that time....im 27 now....and im glad that period is over wtih, but still my name is broaded all over the internet, people know who i am, and my posts i was accounted for, so to give a fast explanation to anyone who reads this: i was young, immature, and did not know it went directly to google....and would stay on there for 20 years plus....and then my posts from just a couple years ago are still embarrasing....and i don't want my name to be linked to all the crazy stuff i wrote on the blog.....which had nothing to note with my real life....

but, this post was in 05 i was a senior in high school

Hey Matt,

Mark was a deputy, a few years before me. I didn't know him at all, but If I remember right, the other deputies I worked with thought very highly of him.

Are you *really* mad about something on here from 9 years ago? I mean...emotions of course can linger from years back, but if you don't recall who Mark was...then...?? Could you maybe try to let it go, put in in perspective? Is there a value for you dwelling on this and expending energy which maybe you could use in present relationships? We recall the past and learn from it and it's part of us, BUT, living there (or reliving things)rarely does anyone any good...believe me, I've tried it ;-)

And remember how gi-gan-normously huge the internet really is...it is just vast. Your fears that people are reading your posts from high school might be exaggerated, right? I am no doubt older than your parents, and hopefully have learned a few things. I have had to choose people for special programs, or recommend whether they did or didn't get certain positions of responsibility when I was in the military. If I were a potential employer or evaluating a young man like you for something, I wouldn't seek out or give a hoot about things a 27-year-old wrote in 2005. People change tremendously over a decade, especially in their 20s, and so for school, work, and life you are who you choose to be NOW...NOT on a MH website years ago. Any reasonable person would agree, I think, and if they rejected you solely based on some obscure online posts then maybe you wouldn't want anything to do with them anyway...

Hope that helps, Matt. You are a really good guy at heart. I've seen it.

I don't think I was a member when a Mark was here or he was leaving at the time? Phillipa
