HELP....Need Herbal Muscle Relaxer for TMJ Spasms.

Posted by laurie_lu on October 8, 2006, at 15:44:58

I have been prescribed by my ENT physcian Flexeril 5mg three times/day for TMJ muscle spasms which were caused by a traumatic dental visit.

The spasms are causing inflammation and pressure on my eustachian tubes resulting in a sensation of being plugged up with extreme pressure inside my head and ringing in my ears. They feel plugged up and are very painful. This also results in dizziness and nausea.

Flexeril is the only thing that has eliminated the spasms and opened my ears but I don't want to use it long term. I am looking for an herbal muscle relaxer alternative to stop the spasms in my TMJ joint which are affecting my ears.

Out of desperation, I went to my local health food store and told the guy there what I was suffering from. I said I needed something that would relax my muscles and reduce the swelling in my TMJ joint. He told me to buy "Zylflamend PM". This stuff contains 8 natural herbs that reduce inflammation, relax muscles, and help you feel calm.

I took a full dose at lunch and another full dose before bed. The next morning my ears were beginning to open. I'd say they were 50% better. I repeated the same amount the next day and by the next morning my ears were 75% better.

Now I'm just taking two pills in the evening and my ears are 90% better upon waking in the morning. Once I am up and about they feel normal.
