Gabatropin

I bought myself Gabatropin:

Unlike GABA, Gabatropin crosses the blood-brain barrier and is broken down into GABA inside the brain. In Russia Gabatropin is a prescription medicine. It is part of the Russian cosmonaut's medical kit.

Some bodybuilders use Gabatropin because it has the side-effect of increasing human growth hormone.

Some people get high off Gabatropin by taking literally ten or twenty times the recommended dose of 300 mg. Taken this way it is apparently very addictive.

The bottle states that it should not be used for more than two weeks at a time with a minimum one week break in between otherwise tolerance sets in. There are many stories on the internet of unpleasant withdrawal from Gabatropin.

Hence I am a little bit scared of this supplement. I am scared I might become addicted to it.

I am desperate to stabilise my mood and end my self-mutilation so I want to use the Gabatropin for the full two weeks to see if it helps.

My question is: what will happen if you use it for more than two weeks? Will you damage the GABA systems in your brain?

My understanding is that your ability to utilize GABA will return after it's out of your system for a while. Is it like Phenibut? I have a supplement called Kavinace that has phenibut, and I usually use it only when I have something I'm nervous about the next day to help me sleep. To be honest, I haven't really noticed much on it, though the next day I can be really groggy, so I'm not a huge fan, but I keep it anyway just in case. I feel that magnesium, albizzia and Taurine work better for me. They feel "cleaner" and I'm not aware of any tolerance issue. I'd recommend glycine too, though sometimes it can make me feel down the next day. Likewise with niacinamide, which is great for anxiety but, like I said, I noticed a dip in mood the next day which I'm not a fan of. Holy Basil and Ashwaganda too can be helpful, especially Holy Basil for me. Plus herbs and vitamins have other positive effects on your system so I would try them out first before something that has a wicked withdrawal.
