To a a friend

How easy it seemed
whene we scribbled our dreams
Right thoughts, right schools, right moves
we were gonna make it.

And damn it you did, had it all
the flash then the fall
all but hid the shadow world
where you faked it.

You lost everything that such success brings
all, but the love of your family
came to that, where it's at
you never had to fake it.

Now you are gone but they still carry on
'cause you're still helping 'em on
and they'll make it.
